The Silver moon Drive-In Theatre opened in 1948. It was the first on to open in Lakeland, Florida. The theatre’s ownership had switched hands over the years but it is still operating today. They added a flea market on the weekends and raised the cost of admission. The current manager has worked there most of his life. He had many stories of the families and couples that have made memories there over the last decade.
